The USMNT and Canada are playing each other in September. Jesse Marsch was asked which sideline he would be on for that game during today’s press conference. Marsch just had to laugh at that question. “I’m not leaving this job. I have no interest in the U.S. job,” he replied. “Unless there is a big shift in the organization, I don’t think I will ever have interest in that job in the future.” 😳 “I’m really happy here. I couldn’t be happier to work with the leaders in the [Canadian] organization and this team.” Marsch was an assistant coach of the USMNT under Bob Bradley and interviewed for the head coach job last year. Gregg Berhalter was ultimately reappointed and Marsch said he “wasn’t treated well.” He was covering all things American soccer with CBS Sports before taking the Canada job, and even said recently that he’s keeping an eye on the USMNT and he’s sad and disappointed with what’s happening.
