A couple before and after of the Indain Seats trail in Georgia. This has been an awesome project for watching human nature at work. Normally trail maintenance consists of water management. This trail however has a much greater issue, user volume. Here we basically did a road to trail conversion, taking the downslope and moving it to the back slope. Also adding grade reversals and out slope to the tread. We kept the back slope and down slope as steep as the angle of repose would allow to keep tread keep to a minimum.
