On Friday night, Fordham Rugby defeated Rutgers University 22-14 in a hard-hitting affair in Piscataway. Penalties limited the Rams possession and momentum through out the match, and the score was knotted 7-7 at the half, with Fordham's points coming through a long Logan McIntyre run and Nathan Fisher conversion. Following the halftime break, Fordham's Parker Lynch (Santa Monica RFC), who was stout on defense against Rutgers' big centers, flipped the switch on attack, scoring 2 tries through darting runs, the last of which put the Rams in the lead for good. Hooker John Patterson (Xavier HS) put the icing on the cake, with excellent support of another long McIntyre burst, dotting down the Rams final try. McIntyre and Lynch were Co-Men of the Match for their efforts. Fordham's Killer B's pitched a shutout for the second week in a row for a 43-0 victory of their own.
