When my manager and I thought up the #BaileFunkExperience tour, we wanted to share the electric vibe of Brazilian parties with the world, in a way that only Brazilians know how. The energy of the favela parties, called “baile de favela”, which I’ve always loved for their amazing resilience and spirit. These parties have been so important for empowering women and celebrating sexual freedom. They’ve also been a huge part of Rio’s economy, my hometown, supporting countless families. And we did it! We brought this culture to over 13 countries. I feel so happy, light, and pumped! Wrapping up this tour, I’m super grateful to the universe and to everyone who was part of this journey.
