This year, #HazingPreventionWeek takes place from 9/19-9/23. Research conducted on hazing at the high school and undergraduate level found that 48% and 55% of students involved in extracurricular activities experienced hazing, respectively (Hoover and Pollard, 2000) (Hoover, 1999). While hazing is mostly associated with greek-lettered organization, hazing has been reported to occur across a spectrum of extra-curricular involvement, including team sports, performing arts, and religious groups.​​ The women of Chi Upsilon Sigma stand strongly against all acts of hazing, and encourage all organizations to practice safe and inclusive recruitment practices. #hazingprevention #stophazing
