My goal at Unbound this year was to tell the story of those who weren’t expecting to finish in 10 hours, but who instead came to Emporia from all over the world because this was a race against themselves, a cycling bucket list item, or just an opportunity to ride in the beautiful flint hills. Sure, the front of the race is exciting, but a few miles behind the pros you’ll find smiles, wheelies, crazy outfits, and stories that just as equally deserve to be shared with the world.
