One of Fairmont Palliser’s most famous guests arrived 85 years ago today, July 15, 1939. Helen Keller (1880–1968) was an American author and disability rights advocate who had been deaf and visually impaired since childhood. Keller attended the Calgary Stampede the day she arrived.
