Nick has a lot to celebrate this #WorldYouthSkillsDay! He is currently working as a dietary aide at Toronto Rehab’s Lyndhurst site, as well as part-time at a grocery store. He credits Holland Bloorview’s Independence Program with helping him develop the skills he needs to live his life to the fullest. As Nick says, “The Independence Program gave me a taste of what would it be like to live away from home. I learned how to budget and manage my money, shop for food and meal prep, TTC skills, how to plan activities with my friends and how to communicate with my friends and roommate.” . He is holding a wooden spoon over a lime-green coloured stand mixer. The cabinets behind him are painted white, and there is a red square tile backsplash
