#highschoolsports & #nil will be difficult to get “right” due to the difficulty in raising money and the evolving landscape… Perhaps regulating high school athletes isn’t the way to go, maybe it’s regulation or steps the businesses wanting to participate in NIL must take… ❓Maybe a approved business list where they have to go through a background check ❓Maybe they have to collectively fund education programs for athletes (brand building, financial literacy) At the end of the day, significant NIL money going to high school athletes will be few and far between. Georgia has 44 of their 450,000 high school athletes with NIL deals… 4️⃣4️⃣ Setting up an environment where backgrounds have to be done, businesses have to attest that eligibility won’t be jeopardized and funding of needed educational resources without hitting up taxpayers may be a start⁉️ #ncaa #nil #playerdevelopment #sports #nfhs
