Did you know that this month is French American Heritage Month? ๐Ÿ“… Though not as popular and well-known, French American Heritage Month celebrates the contributions of French Americans in U.S history. For example, the French have contributed to U.S. independence โš”๏ธ by fighting alongside the U.S. and supporting them. According to the Office of the Historian, the French โ€œprovided supplies, arms and ammunition, uniforms, and most importantly, troops and naval support to the beleaguered Continental Army.โ€ The French have also contributed massively to the design and the growth of the U.S. This includes the building of the Statue of Liberty ๐Ÿ—ฝ which was a gift to show the alliance between France and the U.S. Currently, 11.8 million of French descent are living in the U.S ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. This includes the 750,000 French-American citizens who were added to the French American population due to Franceโ€™s large Creole โšœ๏ธ community. In the most recent census, about 1,203,941 people spoke French at home....
