After serving 29 years at the @ecubrodysom at East Carolina University and ECU Health, Dr. Herb Garrison recently retired as the associate dean for the Brody School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education, @ecuhmc_gme. Under Dr. Garrison’s leadership, Brody and ECU Health Medical Center now have over 40 training programs, including residencies for physicians and dentists, sub-specialty fellowships, and combined programs, with 410 physicians completing their post-medical school training and the establishment of the Rural Family Medicine Residency Program.
