The Steward School’s Bryan Innovation Lab (affectionately known as “the BIL”) is a certified Schoolyard Habitat. This thriving outdoor space benefits both humans and nature. “We capture water to use in our gardens and prevent runoff in our waterways,” notes BIL Program Coordinator Megan Young. The plants not only appeal to the senses but attract and provide shelter and food for animals and native pollinators.
