There's such a value in being a part of something bigger than yourself. I went to Washington, DC with the National Association of Women Business Owners for a conference on advocacy as a business owner. I not only got to connect with more than a dozen local women business owners in the Philadelphia area (we had the highest turnout of any chapter, thank you very much), but I got to meet incredible women from across the country. Running a business isn't easy, and it can feel extremely isolating at times. These conferences remind me that every minute of work I put into my company is a part of something much, much bigger than myself. We're all working toward the same goal.
