SHP students joined GoldenHearts, a nonprofit organization headed by past SHS parent Frauke Janssen, to teach language and other skills to refugee children seeking a haven in Germany. Our students helped children ranging in age from infant to 10 years old. “Their time spent [in] the GoldenHearts classrooms gave SHP students an insight into the situation and the life of refugees in Germany,” said Janssen. “The program ran extremely smoothly and all eight students became a big friends group,” she added. #shsatherton#summerexchange#shsexchangeprogram#goldenhearts
