Michael Yates joined our team at Shapiro & Duncan over 8 years ago. In his early role as a foreman, he oversaw many projects including AGU, 1222 22nd St., the 2nd phase Holocaust project, and White Haven. Later, he changed paths after Superintendent Billy Campbell recognized his potential in the training department. Outside of S&D, Michael is an ABC teacher for 3rd year apprentices, so it was a no brainer to Billy that Michael would fit right in.
Today, Michael is passionate about helping people improve and achieve their goals. He is deeply committed to his role as a craft trainer, noting that he loves to mentor and support apprentices and students, even outside of training. He says he enjoys working at Shapiro and Duncan because they foster a sense of family, transforming work into something more than just a job.
