30 people from 11 countries took the Oath of Allegiance to become naturalized citizens of the U.S. at an event we proudly co-hosted on Sept. 17 πΊπΈ The ceremony celebrated the diversity, freedom, and opportunities that abound in a nation where "there is always hope," Dean Jamal powerfully said in her remarks.
The event, co-hosted with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (uscis) and Princeton's Office of Community and Regional Affairs, was part of "Welcome Week," an effort by the Municipality of Princeton (accessprinceton) and the Princeton Public Library (princetonpl) to promote inclusiveness, unity, and diversity. π
We see events like these as critical to our mission β especially as we increase our presence in local communities. 𧑠π
