Casimira Rodriguez '19 MPA '24, currently a SINSI fellow at StateDept, has been named to Pacific Forum's U.S.-Japan Next Generation Leaders Initiative! The initiative is Pacific Forum’s first cohort of next-generation Japanese and American leaders conducting research on various facets of the U.S.-Japan alliance. These young leaders will engage with senior experts and practitioners while developing original research under the mentorship of faculty at Tokyo International University. Their research will be published in an edited volume in late 2022.
Casimira will research "The Evolution of U.S.-Led Alliance Systems: A Minilateralist Approach in the Indo-Pacific." “Cassie has been a great addition to the Japan desk in the State Department’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs,” said Amb. Rick Barton, co-director, Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative (SINSI).
