Hundreds of University Village residents, a family housing complex made up of UC Berkeley graduate student researchers and instructors, postdoctoral scholars and others, are refusing to pay for a parking permit that was set to begin July 1. The permit costs $64 a month, or approximately $768 a year, and would be charged in addition to rent, according to a University Village in Albany press release.
