It's South Asian Heritage Month and we're putting the spotlight on some of our members. This year's theme is 'Free to be me'. Meet Dr Aaliya Goyal, Vice Chair Midland Faculty and Nationally elected member RCGP council member and a GP based in Birmingham. She tells us about the importance of identity to her. "My Indian heritage and Muslim identity have shaped my lived and professional experiences of healthcare and leadership. They bring a richness of understanding and authenticity to my work to tackle health inequalities and mentor and coach women across the breadth of South Asian heritage and faiths. I am “free to be me” and encourage others to be free to be themselves, and to find their strengths to succeed." Thank you for sharing your story with us draaliyagp #SouthAsianHeritageMonth #SAHM24
