Stop turning your head to the side to watch your lifts in the mirror! đ
Itâs okay to glance to check your form, but donât watch the whole time especially when youâre lifting heavy.
When the head turns, the spine usually turns. When lifting weights this is not usually a good idea.
Instead, keep the head in a neutral position in line with the spine. Learn to âfeel the formâ by increasing your awareness of what good form feels like so you donât even need to look.
In the meantime, film yourself and watch it back to check your form or ask a trainer to help if youâre not sure what youâre looking for!âşď¸
