Cali's Story ✨ "Cali was rescued when witnessed being thrown into the trash from a great height. Her rescue team saw her spirit then and named her Hope and gave her a new start in her life. With care in rescue she quickly developed her attitude and became Caliente, or Cali for short. Her foster mom recognized her need for a wheelchair and made it happen. With a “don’t tell me what I can do” attitude, Cali displays her determination and ability that forward is forward no matter the approach or speed. Cali treats her wheelchair like a throne. It has given her mental freedom and physical conditioning different from “walking” around that will contribute to her longevity in body and mind. She shows us no matter how many times we flip ourselves belly up, roll back over, get back up and just keep rolling.
