Our top 5 winners are: ⠀ 🌱Desert Star Community School's Oasis Garden in Cornville, AZ: This high desert garden will incorporate permaculture, biodynamic, and Native American techniques for ecological sustainability. 🌱St. Clair Superior Teen Center Garden in Cleveland, OH: The program teaches life skills such as food production and healthy meal planning, as well as STEM concepts and providing skills that may be used for future career development. 🌱Cheyenne River Youth Project’s Winyan Toka Win Learning Garden in Eagle Butte, SD: Through the garden, participants learn about food sovereignty, healthy diets and have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to their community. 🌱Greens4Teens Youth Horticulture Program in Houston, TX: A horticulture program at a juvenile justice facility that aims to build self-confidence, a strong work ethic, and have kids make a c...
