I recently covered a drive-thru vaccine clinic, and many getting vaccinated were from Houston's Korean community. It's no secret that the Asian community has been on edge, especially Koreans, following the tragedy in Georgia last month. At least on this day, they could feel a sense of peace.

With Korean translators on hand, hundreds got their second dose of their COVID-19 vaccine. This lady waved hello to literally everyone -- including me-- and was so friendly. After the nurse's injection, she yelped a brief "Aya!!" and laughed, wiping a few tears and said: "That wasn't as bad as the first one! I love you! Thank you so much! I want to hug you but I know I'm not supposed to! Air hug! Thank you!"
