“Pray for us and pray for our babies.” • Her eyes said a lot. Her smile, her joy was so evident. Dr. Micheline Al-Qassis heads up the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Holy Family Hospital, where she cares for the youngest citizens of the world born in Bethlehem. Bouncing from tiny infant to tiny infant, she praised them. “She was born five minute ago,” she cooed, gazing at the wiggling newborn who seemed to smile back at her. She encouraged us to join her in the NICU, which was clearly her pride and joy and the true beating heart of the Hospital. • Dr. Al-Qassis is a wonder worker.
