I heard her say that when I pulled my beanie low just above my eyes. It really was coming down even harder, several
#snow flakes and the slipping behind my glasses. I grabbed the railing leading out of the 116th/Columbia
#Metro station in case I slipped on the ice I saw forming. She muttered other things I can’t type here as she cut across the street now blanketed in snow. I couldn’t see the little white walk man anymore.
My friend Daniel brought me to the snow-laden university for a quick penny tour —look at that building, that’s not the library anymore, that’s the library, that’s the J-School— before heading to a Greek restaurant for lunch. The snow made his beard even whiter than usual (sorry Daniel 😂 ) and he looked more like The Most Interesting Man In The World than the Venezuelan guitar playing professor I met in Jordan.
The sky was a white ghost laughing at us all and the grass disappeared. This was my second time to see snow in 2018. ...
