Built almost 375 years ago, the #Mariazell Basilica stands as a sign of faith and trust. Blocked by a massive boulder, a monk placed a small wooden statue of the Virgin Mary on the obstacle. The rock then split apart, clearing his path. He then built a small chapel to honor the act of faith, where this beautiful Gothic church would eventually stand.
