Congratulations to Rachel Daniel ’18, M’20, who was has been selected by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) to participate in their Postgraduate Technical Assistant (PTA) program.
Rachel, a graduate student in Trinity’s master’s program in accounting, is one of a small, select group of students in the nation to be tapped for this prestigious appointment and will begin her year-long term this winter in Norwalk, Connecticut.
Founded in 1973, the FASB is a nonprofit that establishes and improves standard financial accounting and reporting principles in the United States. As a PTA, Rachel will become deeply involved in the standards-setting process and, according to the FASB website, “will be assigned to major agenda projects or short-term practice and implementation issues.”
Upon completion of the program, Rachel will work full time in the audit and assurance division at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Houston.
