#FeistyStories 🗣 . “I have been able to take on so many more challenges in life using lessons I learned in triathlon. ➡️ . One of my best triathlon experiences so far was when I helped pace an adolescent swimmer across Lake Erie. I was able to be a mentor for her emotionally while she inspired me for the physical challenge. She did it to raise money for a summer camp for children and families who have cancer. 🏊‍♀️ . One of my most challenging experiences was also my first conscious lesson that ‘starting is the hardest part.’ I planned a multi-week ride to raise awareness for how sustainable exercise can benefit mental health. There were so many logistics and the night before, I was overwhelmed, exhausted, and cranky about not feeling ready. When I started crying, my ride partner told me to just relax because "You'll never be ready."
