We have a wedding today and tomorrow, and we are implementing our indoor weather back up plans for both, unfortunately. It’s never a fun call to make, but sometimes it’s a necessary one. If you’re planning an outdoor event, you have to be ready to roll with the punches if the weather doesn’t cooperate. If you’re celebrating at a venue that doesn’t have a weather backup space, OR if you don’t like the indoor space reserved for you as a backup, get a tent on reserve EARLY on in the planning process. Otherwise, you’re gambling with Mother Nature and have to accept the circumstances if you lose.
Additionally, reserve a tent well in advance of the event date to allow rental companies the time they need to reserve a crew to put up the tent (it takes around 10 people and 8-10 hours of physical labor to put up a tent).
