It’s Friday and we’re finally headed into a wedding-free weekend! June & July were a total barrage of one big event after another, and the team and I are so grateful to have a few days of rest and recovery.
People don’t realize how much energy is poured into not only getting ready for event days, but the actual days themselves. Early morning set ups, 14-16 hour days on foot running around trying to make sure everything and everyone is in it’s/their place as scheduled. Keeping things moving behind the scenes once the event is in motion, trying to predict the weather, managing unforeseen obstacles, assisting event guests with their spontaneous needs, and then breaking it all down, packing it up, and putting it away just to get it all out and do it again the next weekend.
Often times the above is done in outdoor elements with 90° sun (or hotter) beating down. And then comes Monday when our attention shifts to those who have been waiting to hear back while we’ve been away executing ano...
