We've got another #SeatedThrows post for you. Did you know that the Club Throw is a para exclusive event replacing the hammer throw? This discipline is for athletes with a significant mobility impairment in both their upper and lower limbs usually as a result of a cervical spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy. The club throw is contested by athletes in classes F31-32 and F51. Athletes either throw forward or backwards (by firing the club behind their head). The last BC athlete to compete in club throw was Ryan Schweizer who has also played and coached wheelchair rugby in our provincial team program for many years.
