Update: Within seconds of this post, Pie’s foster parents decided they just couldn’t live life without him. We’re so happy he won their hearts and can live happily-ever-after with his most favorite humans! 🐾 ... It's National Adopt-A-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week! Here at SHS, we are not fond of this label and prefer to describe these floofs as "unique" or "quirky". If a pet is staying at a shelter much longer than others, they may be labeled as "less adoptable." It could be due to their age, a medical issue, a less popular breed, or pets with behavior issues. In the pictures, Pie may look like he found his forever home but he hasn't just yet! Pie is only 2-years-old & lived most of his life on the streets of Texas. He was found having the time of his life running & playing with children at recess but soon found himself at a shelter. Pie needed to be transferred because he was having a hard time finding a home, but he found his way to us! This sweet boy may never have even had a family ...
