Thomas O'Malley would like to inform you all that it's #NationalPetFireSafetyDay today! Here are a few tips to help keep your pets safe during fire season. 1. Keep your pets away from open flames (candles, gas stoves, etc) 2. Keep pets near entrances when left alone in a crate (in a main room where firemen can find them easily) 3. Use monitored smoke detectors connected to a monitoring center 4. Use a "Pet Alert Window Cling." It is a type of "sticker" that will alert firefighters of how many pets are in the home. 5. Practice escape routes with pets so you know what it takes to get them out of the house in case of emergency. Did Thomas O'Malley catch your eye? This 6-year-old boy is a sweetheart & would love to find his forever home! He's a big, healthy boy and weighs about 18lbs! Stop by the shelter at 6607 N. Havana St. 99217 to see if this fine feline is your purrfect match.
