#SAVEiversary to Adira! šOne year ago today, she was surrendered to SHS at 6 weeks old. She had a terrible, untreated upper respiratory infection that unfortunately meant she had to have both eyes (what was left of them) removed. Due to the severity of the infection, our team didnāt know if she would pull through. Within hours after her surgery, she was up and meowing for food! She took all her treatments like a champ and showed us what a fighter she was!
Everyone at SHS fell in love with her and it didnāt take long to decide that we just couldnāt give her up!
Adira was made the āclinic catā and she takes her job very seriously - from greeting people at the door, to comforting sick and scared animals, to sharing lunch with staff, to occasionally (ok, itās daily) knocking things off desks.
When sheās not at work, she lives with a staff member and enjoys sunny hikes, rides in the car, and playing with all her fur siblings.
We get the same comment anytime someone new meets her ...
