Bit of a throwback today has me in my feels courtesy of seanhaleyeah 🫶 8 years ago, I made a trip to New York to try out for usarollerderby - this was my second cycle to attempt to make the team (first was Seattle in 2013). This was during an era of my derby career that I was absolutely in top fighting form, and I remember being so incredibly honored and a little validated to make the scrimmage cut that year. 🖤 Not to mention the joy of all my fellow bont_rollerskates quadstars hyping each other up the whole time! 🖤 While I didn't make the team, this photo meant everything to me as it was #proofoflife that I could do it! Not sure what my next era of roller derby looks like, but I'm excited to see what's to come! ✨️
