We did it! Jay Fai and her legendary Crab Omelet in Bangkok ✅ We came here at 4 and we were rejected like a couple of middle schooler in a liquor store. No amount of convincing or name dropping was going to help. The waitress finally told us “we’re fully booked, can you listen?” We came back at 830am the next day. before they were even open and finally got to put our John Hancock on the waitlist. The food was worth ALL the wait. The crab omelette is basically a pound of pure crab meat fried inside of an egg omelette. The crunch of the egg and the still juicy fresh crab lumps binded together with the melting interior is why this place is one of THE most talked about destination in Bangkok and my favorite part of Netflix Street Food series. The drunken noodle was also out of this work with massive prawns and noodles carmelized by her flaming charcoal wok. Wash it all down with a bowl of Tom yum. We’re so lucky to get to experience this and say hi to this legend, as we left, a waiting...
