In partnership with CultureTrip & DiscoverHongKong, here’s a look back at my trip in 2017 where I discovered how much nature plays a role in and around this iconic city. While most people think of its tall buildings and dense urban life, I found that Hong Kong is full of adventures and surprises! Even though I love all the architecture, pops of color and unexpected drone finds like the Whampao shopping mall that looks like a giant ship, I was amazed to learn about all of the hiking trails surrounding the city. One of my favorite memories w/ TiffPenguin was our hike to Lion Rock, a breathtaking lookout point with endless photo ops. Another lush mountain trail we enjoyed was Dragon’s Back in Shek O Country Park, which offers island views off the coast.
