June 19, 1968 was declared "Solidarity Day" by the Poor People’s Campaign leaders of SCLC, UAW and Native Americans. Attended by over 50,000 people, the rally featured speeches by celebrities and campaign organizers as a continuation of the 1963 March on Washington.
