#OnThisDay in 1965, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights leaders led about 2,500 marchers to the Edmund Pettus Bridge two days after #BloodySunday. Abiding by a court restraining order, the leaders prayed on the bridge and then turned the marchers around to maintain peace. This day became known as #TurnAroundTuesday.
