#DYK that March is Women’s History Month? This month we’ll feature women in grassroots voting rights efforts during the Civil Rights Movement. Today we highlight Clara Luper who fought to end segregation in Oklahoma. She led campaigns for equality in banking, employment opportunities, housing, and voting rights for Blacks. Luper also was the advisor for the OK City of NAACP Youth Council and helped conduct sit-ins throughout the 1960s, which eventually helped end segregation in Oklahoma. #WomenYouShouldKnow #WomensHistoryMonth
