🚍 Nashville student movement leader and coordinator of the Nashville-based Freedom Rides, Diane Nash (3rd from left), stated in 1961, 🚨 “Traveling in the segregated South, for black people, was humiliating. The very fact that there were separate facilities was to say to black people and white people that blacks were subhuman and so inferior that we could not even use public facilities that white people used. It was also dangerous.” 📗 This reality was the impetus for the #GreenBook. See the exhibition and other stories in the exhibition showing at the #LinkInBio until 1/3/21.
