I chose Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated because not only did I find my community, but I was finally able to embrace both of my cultures wholeheartedly. Society portrayed stereotypes of what a Latina βshouldβ look and act like, being the reason for why I struggled so much with my identity growing up. However, ever since I met my sisters and my beautiful chapter, they have helped me feel more confident in who I am and where I come from.
