**One of the pillars in our philosophy is that coaches learn theory, but athletes learn by feeling.**
To achieve this, we do a ton of race modeling with very specific KPIs that the athlete targets. We review the film and splits to help the athlete understand and feel what we are trying to accomplish. š„
In this workout, Julia Wallace is doing her final prep for the AAU Junior Olympics. She is rehearsing the first 80 meters of the rep. We are pushing to 45m and then floating to 80m. The float needs to be relaxed but intentional, aiming to hit the target of 10.8 seconds.
**Today's Targets:**
- 45m in 6.52 seconds (6.90 mps)
- 80m in 10.69 seconds (7.48 mps)
- Fly 35m in 4.17 seconds (8.39 mps)
By achieving all three targets, we set up the race for optimal performance. š„
