#HAUSatHOME coach Mollie (molliesfittips) shows off a variety of stretches, leg strengthening exercises and upper back postural movements to help bikers achieve more efficiency and comfort for riding.
Exercises:
1. This self-resisted neck and trap stretch will help alleviate tightness from leaning over, leading to cyclist’s neck issues. Complete 2 sets of 10 seconds per side, gently nodding your head forwards and backwards.
2. Side-lying chest openers should be performed after riding to stretch the pectoral muscles which may become tight after hunching over on a bike. Pre-ride: 4 sets of 2-3 seconds per position. Post-ride: 2 sets of 30 seconds each, moving through the full range of motion.
3. The quadruped adductor stretch can be used to release the tension in the groin which can overpower the glutes while riding, leading to discomfort. Pre-ride: 4 sets of 2-3 seconds per position. Post-ride: 2 sets of 3...
