In otter news…
Did you know sea otters hold paws while sleeping to prevent themselves from drifting apart? It’s an adorable and heartwarming display of social bonding. Unless you’re paired with Shelia and start telling her about that never ending PowerPoint presentation on “The Science of Seaweed Digestion: A Comparative Analysis of Algae Consumption Techniques.” Sheila’s paw-holding policy: “Don’t annoy me, or you’ll be swimming solo in dreamland.”
Speaking of swimming, it’s important to always keep water safety in mind. Sea otters take their swim lessons seriously, always keeping a sharp eye out for potential hazards and practicing their backstroke with finesse. All while eating a snack. Nice.
