National Park Service law enforcement rangers, special agents, and United States Park Police are stationed around the country and work to fulfill the National Park Service mission by protecting the natural and cultural resources in parks and by keeping people safe when they visit.
In 2023, the National Park Service announced a seven-year initiative to focus efforts on hiring more women in law enforcement positions across the country through the 30X30 pledge, an initiative to advance the representation and experiences of women in police agencies across the United States by 2030.
