Something like that. Are mountains funny? Nope, but they are hill areas. We’re here all week, folks. Jutting up from the earth to the sky (at many angles), mountains inspire and stir the imagination. We go to the mountains to study and learn from them, to connect with nature, and in solitude learn about ourselves. (Like the best view comes after the hardest climb. Now you tell me!?!)
Climb every mountain, ford every stream! (For the record, fording a stream or river is risky. Especially on the Oregon Trail. Just saying.) Where were we? Yes, amazing views beckon you to climb to the next crest or explore the depths of the valleys. From the Alaska Range to the Sierra Nevada, the Rockies to the Appalachians, the National Park Service preserves the places and stories of grandeur. So go — the mountains are calling! You let it go to voicemail? Is it the Tetons, again? The mountains are texting!
P.S. What’s your favorite mountain-centric national park? We like the one with the big rocks.
