It took us a moment to realize these were, in fact, not tiny Brontosauruses. 🦕 Hold onto your butts, err, tails? Get it? Our social media managers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could reference Jurassic Park that they didn’t stop to think if they should. But they did anyway. Actually, for the record, these are not tiny dinosaurs. They are white-nosed coati, also known as coatimundi. Coati-what? Coati are small mammals that are members of the family Procyonidae, which includes ringtails and raccoons. Coati have a long brown tail with rings on it that are anywhere from starkly defined like a raccoon's to very faint, not like a raccoon. They often hold the tail erect and are often used to keep troops of coati together in tall vegetation. Back in formation!
