Where in the parks is Carmen, wait, NPS Director Chuck Sams? He’s in Bawst'n! Really? What’s next, a joke about pahking the cah? During #NationalParkWeek, the Director is visiting several boston_nhp area parks and meeting with staff, volunteers, as well as local and national partners. He kicked off his visit to Beantown by meeting with Boston’s Trails to Freedom Partners at the Old State House. Sams also met with and heard from members of the Boston Harbor Island Partnership and enjoyed a brief visit to Georges Island and historic Fort Warren. He later participated in one of Faneuil Hall’s modern traditions – a Naturalization Ceremony. Joined by uscis Director Ur M. Jaddou, Director Sams helped welcome the new citizens. While in Massachusetts, Sam has also visited newbedfordnps, boafnps, bostonharborislands, capecodnps, and minutemannps.
