“Tell me quickly what's the story
Who saw what and why and where…” - Javert
We’re all ears! Alright, listen up. Large ears are one the most recognizable characteristics of mule deer. In fact, they can be about three-fourths the length of its head. You might say they resemble…wait for it…mule ears!
Did you hear something? A deer can usually hear high-frequency sounds better than we do, while humans hear low-frequency sounds better than a deer. One of the deer's hearing advantages, though, is its ability to work its two large ears independently to detect, direct and triangulate gossip from all directions. Shelia said what? Oh, deer.
